I am looking for a martial art to join that is not going to cost me an arm and a leg?
Setenza asked:
ok im looking around for a martial art to join for me my wife and my son when he gets a little older but every where i seem to look the price is way up there. I am specificly looking for an art that I can actualy try and master or excell in for training hard but it seems that everything is all about the money now … anybody have any suggestions.

I recommend Judo or Jujitsu… You can usually find them relatively cheaply and they are not the best-known ones. Training is what they are all about, technique is king, and you shouldn’t be too badly battered as well
Good luck!

Check with the nearest look to community- and YMCA-based activities, They charge lower or no fees, offer fee assistance.and the instruction is usually good by caring instructors.

tae kwon do
its a korean martial art and it helps work on the mind and it is great excersice
ive seen people do tae kwon do for the first time and they got better, they were well disciplined, more confident, and concentrated quickly in about a week
and im sure there is one place that u can afford
this is an old korean band learning it and they were not use to that but they were well trained
its from youtube they speak in korean but but u can still see all the stuff they are doing
the first video in the first part they are just talking so skip that
p.s there are 8 parts its really funny at the same time too and the second part shows more stuff

Most Shito-ryu Itosu-kai Dojos charge a minimal $20 to $30 per month. It is a non-profit style/organization.
Your gi runs around $35 for a child and up to $60 for an adults. Rankings cost anywhere from $50 for the lower rankings to several hundred $ for a black belt ranking.
These costs pay only the headmaster of the style (Soke) and the country (Shihan). The rest goes towards bringing in guests, taking students on trips and to tournaments and to buy equipment from time to time.
Good Luck!

Try kajukenbo.
If none is available in your area try a YMCA. They don’t charge much usually.
