Sry, I have no clue. But I’d say you’re application stands out by all the clubs you have joined. Do you hold any positions in them?

ehh you have a decent array of extracurricular activities but still the most important things are your GPA and SAT scores.

It depends on your what your major would be. Your SATs aren’t very high and NYU is pretty competitive. The subject tests are ok but not outstanding. Do you hold office in any of the clubs your participate in? Leadership is key. Also, you need an E.C. that stands out apart from the typical high school ones. Being of a minority helps adn the diversity club is good too. It all really depends on the other applicants. Your essay could really hit home with the admissions team and stand out from the other essays. Anyways best of luck to you!

Yes, it will help a lot if your essay stands out. My sister’s kid applied to NYU last year and got rejected. (He’s a freshman at BC right now.) He had a 3.6 GPA, a better SAT score, good recommendations, and he ran cross country throughout high school. He got into every school he applied to except for NYU. (He was even offered a partial scholarship to attend Fordham.)
My sister told me that NYU, his first choice, is extremely competitive. He did not have any community service to speak of, no work experience other than the usual summer counselor stuff, and a ho hum essay.
I think your essay is critical. You can connect to an admissions officer through an essay in a way that your scores and grades and recommendations simply cannot, and cutting through the clutter is half the battle.
Good luck. I’m sure you’ll do well.
