Self-defense Techniques
txymartialarts asked:
When facing an attack, do you know how to deal with it? Will you be frozen up and be too nervous to think rationally? Thinking rationally is very important but it is difficult for most of people to do it. Many people when confronting an attack may feel frightened and do what as told.
It is understandable for some people get lost when involving into an attack. The environment we live in is more often than not peaceful and civilized, so we are not accustomed to being threatened. Therefore, when confronting the attack, most people can not think rationally and set up the protective state of mind. But this way may cause sufferings to yourself.
As a matter of fact, you should make effort to get ready for attack. You should show your bravery and deal with the attacker smartly. You need to note your surroundings clearly to see what objects you can use to protect yourselves or just slow down your attackers. Quickly think of possible solutions and act. Don’t be a victim.
In your daily life, you should avoid fight as possible as you can. But if physical fight can not be avoided, you should immediately get into a fighting stance. Do not hesitate. Hesitation in the most severe situations could get you killed.
In an attack, there is no time to review. You should immediately remember what you have learned and apply these techniques. Reacting quickly enough to the attack is very helpful. This requires a regular practice of the self-defense techniques. You should focus on some versatile effective techniques so you have them down cold. When attacked if you don’t have time to pick and choose a technique, you can always use the ones you focused on with impunity.
